Nan-in, a Japanese master during the Meiji era (1868–1912), received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen.
Nan-in served tea.
He poured his visitor’s cup full, and then kept on pouring. The professor watched the overflow until he no longer could restrain himself.
“It is overful—no more will go in!” “Like this cup,” Nan-in said, “you are full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?”

What are people saying about Walking in the Light?
“I received a new lease on life. I am able to experience new situations and people with a new-found openness. I no longer fear the future or regret the past. I am becoming the person I have always wanted to be.” Judy Stasek
“Even though I did Walking in the Light many years ago, I still often reflect on the experience. It was one of the most intense and rewarding things I have ever done for myself. It has forever changed the way I see myself, my relationships with others, and the way I live my life. I highly recommend Walking in the Light for anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of themselves.”Stephanie Gramza
“Wow! What an impact Walking In The Light had on my life. This was a life changing experience. It opened a direct line from my intellect to my heart. I carry with me the experience of the weekend that empowers me to live my life of aliveness!” David West
“Walking in the Light pushed me out of my comfort zone which allowed me to experience a bond of friendship I have never had with another person; a bond which continues to the present, over 4 years later.” Carol Chapman
“Walking in the Light is an amazing, unique experience. Each and every activity is packed with purpose and lessons. During the weekend I took a realistic look at my life so far, was challenged to be truly in the present, and I got to feel the magic and fun of ‘paying it forward.’ Best of all, the weekend showed me the potential for miracles in my life. Wow!” Anonymous
“The lesson from Walking in the Light is very simple. The exercises and activities used to help me understand the lesson were complex, challenging and pure joy when I finally got it. I never felt more free, open and calm as I did in the few weeks following the weekend. While my life will always be a roller coaster, living in love and forgiveness makes that roller coaster the best ride ever. I strongly encourage you to take this weekend.” Karen Gill
“Walking in the Light is one of the most powerful things I have done that has helped me to open my heart, receive love, and share myself with others. It has also acted to shine a light on areas where I needed to do more personal work. It has been very supportive of my growth, and a great gift.” Jay Edgar
Walking in the Light is giving yourself the gifts of love and forgiveness, an empty cup with which to approach every day allowing you to be open to the miracle of life in the present moment. It is an advanced course that will challenge you intensely and the enlightenment on the other side of the challenge will be even more intense and rewarding.
This course is only offered once per year. Register today!
